The BIN Checker API uses the first 6 digits of an issuer card to retrieve information about

the brand of the card (e.g. Visa, MasterCard),
name of the issuing institution/bank,
country of issuance,
type of the card (debit/credit), and
category of the card (gold, platinum, etc.).

So what does this mean for you?

Well, say someone's trying to purchase on a merchant e-store. With our API, you can use their credit card info to validate their transaction against fraud and identity theft. You can even use it to find out if they're trying to pay with a debit card or a credit card—which is super useful when it comes to deciding if approval is necessary or not.
