Binance is launching a cryptocurrency trading platform for its South Korean users, powered by Binance Cloud. The exchange will launch trading pairs with a KRW-backed stablecoin. Browser-maker Opera has expanded its cryptocurrency buying feature to the European Union and four other countries, allowing its Android browser users to buy BTC or ETH "in 30 seconds." Facebook's digital wallet subsidiary Calibra has rebranded to Novi, a name inspired on the Latin words "via" and "novus." Its rebranding announcement detailed how it will work with WhatsApp and Messenger. Cryptocurrency mining firm Bitfury has launched investment solutions for accredited investors that will give them exposure to bitcoin via the firm's mining centers. A new type of Monero mining malware has already infected over 1,000 corporate systems, some belonging to large firms according to cloud security firm Red Canary. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has explained during a shareholder meeting how the social media giant will make money with the Libra cryptocurrency project that is expected to launch later this year. BitClave, an Ethereum-based search engine funded via an initial coin offering in 2017, has agreed to pay back its nearly 10,000 investors a total of $25.5 million it raised at the time, in a settlement agreement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has revealed it has been integrated into Samsung's cryptocurrency wallet, which is available for select Galaxy smartphones. The integration is for users in North America.
